The Imminence of Poetics

Jonas (J) Magnusson & Cecilia Grönberg (OEI) och Knut Aufermann & Sarah Washington (Mobile Radio) kommer att tala om sina verk på 30th Bienal de São Paulo (2012) dels på IASPIS och senare på dagen flyttar evenemanget över till Moderna Museet. “The Imminence of Poetics” på IASPIS diskuterar magasinet och radion som konstmedia. På Moderna Museet släpps OEIs senaste numret och dessutom framförs ljudarbeten av Mobile Radio.

Jonas (J) Magnusson & Cecilia Grönberg (OEI magazine) and Knut Aufermann & Sarah Washington (Mobile Radio) will talk about their work in and with the 30th Bienal de São Paulo (2012), “The Imminence of Poetics”, and discuss the magazine and radio as art mediums.

OEI is a magazine for extra-disciplinary spaces and de-disciplinizing moments – experimental forms of thinking, montages between poetry, art, philosophy, film, and documents; editorial enunciations and aesthetic technologies, alternative historiographies and speculative ethnographies.
OEI was founded in 1999 and has published about 60 issues of the magazine. The publishing structure OEI editör was initiated in 2002 and has published some 60 books of conceptual poetry, aesthetic documents, theoretical and poetological texts etc. Since 2011 OEI also runs the micro-gallery OEI Colour Project in Stockholm.

As members of the London Musicians' Collective (LMC), Sarah Washington and Knut Aufermann were co-founders of London's first art radio station, Resonance 104.4FM, in 2002. The station has created a new model for community media and has established itself as a platform for experimental art practice for thousands of artists, writers and thinkers across a range of different communities. Following their experience at Resonance FM, Washington and Aufermann started Mobile Radio in September 2005. They perform as part of media and art festivals, conferences and universities, and contribute to one-off events with short-lived radio stations, special live broadcasts and edited pieces.

The evening at Moderna Museet beginning at 6.30 with inauguration of the new coffee bar and an artist talk with Rivane Neuenschwander and Tobias Rehberger.
